Whether your taste runs to brawlers, like largemouth bass, or a culinary treat, like the crappie, whether you fancy bait casting for tasty channel catfish or fly casting for battling bluegill, the streams, watershed lakes and farm ponds leased by Hunting Sports Plus await you. These areas, some of them rarely fished, are the perfect spot to spend an afternoon with family. These are just the kinds of fishing holes where many club members learned to fish -- unhurried, out-of-the-way, clean and peaceful. No Seadoos or water skiers to contend with; no foul-mouthed, half-naked slobs.
For those inclined to fish on a somewhat larger scale, Hunting Sports Plus offers the ultimate fishing hole in the Midwest: the incomparable Strip Pits near Amsterdam, Mo. Although more than one member is allowed on this property at one time, you may never see anyone else. At 4,000 acres (three and one-half miles long and two miles wide) and containing 35 bodies of water, the Strip Pits are a resource that cannot be adequately described. They have to be experienced. Five-pound bass are commonplace; in fact, all bass longer than 14 inches must be returned to the water immediately. Several bass topping ten pounds have been caught and released on HSP properties.

Hunting Sports Plus strives to lease the very best hunting ground for it's members and their guests. Not only do we continue to lease tremendous hunting land year after year we dispose of any land that is not producing hunt-able game at our high standards!
We keep an average of 200 acres per member. That means if we gained 2,000 members we would not rest until we had an additional 400,000 acres of quality hunting ground leased to accommodate our new arrivals, and that is a PROMISE!
Not only do we have a lot of land for our members - we make sure it is all top-quality! We employ a wildlife biologist to evaluate and lease only the best hunting land that state has to offer.
At last count the club held leases on about 900 farms -- All ranging anywhere from 40 acres to 4,000 acres!
Hunting Sports Plus is a member of the American Wildlife Association (AWA). When you join Hunting Sports Plus you in turn will gain access to all of the land that other AWA clubs lease!
